Default How Much PAG Oil?

I need to replace my AC manifold hose on a 97 Cherokee 4.0, as it sprung a leak and sprayed the area with the compressor oil. How do I know how much oil to put back?

Did you flush the system ?? No telling just how much came out.. Only real way would be to flush the system and start over with the recommended amount..

When replacing the AC manifold hose, you’ll lose some oil usually about 1 oz (30ml) for the hose alone. Since yours sprayed, add 2 oz (60ml) to be safe. Check your compressor for a label stating total oil capacity (typically 8-10 oz for the whole system). If you’re unsure, add 2 oz now, then have a shop vacuum and recharge it properly. Don’t overfill too much oil hurts cooling.
