I run custom long arms with 8" Rustys springs up front and 6" Rustys leafs with 2" blocks in the back. I run 35-12.5-15 tires and am fully locked. The very first thing I did to it was install longer break lines. I only use my XJ for wheeling and the stock steering worked fine for me even with the front locker so I just upgraded it with the Currie HD steering setup and steering box brace and that tightened it up quite a bit. It came with an upgraded track bar, but it was not nearly strong enough and I quickly broke it and upgraded to a Rock Krawler track bar. My front driveshaft is extended further than I would like and will be replaced before toolong. I have a heavy duty custom crossmember that gives me tranfer case protection and drops it about an inch and I barely have any driveshaft vibartions so I don't have a SYE (yet). My only complaint is bad schackle angles so my rear does not flex as much as it could and gets a bit bouncy sometimes. I would like to get shackle relocation brackets and some better shackles and then use smaller blocks (or none). The breaks are not great but upgrading to a Dana 44 rear did help. With a lift over 6" if you plan on doing any kind of wheeling you will quickly find that you need to do quite a bit of upgrading to get everying to work well.

Guess I'm the lone short arm guy here. Planning on a real 4 link first of the year, just don't care for radius arms. Sitting 6" TJ coils with a 1" puck and drop brackets (which I don't recommend), RE upper and lowers and track bar. Rear had 4.5" RE leaves and parts store shackle. RE hack and tap with a Tom Woods shaft. HP 44 front with chromos and 60 rear on 35s for now. Looking for another set of 38 cause I miss my old ones. Sorry we don't stop to take a lot of pics when we wheel. Steering in the pics was a modified rugged ridge/JCR which was awful and has since been replaced with heims and 1.5' DOM.

Im a short arm guy too. I have the RC 6.5 lift with 33s but am searching for a good deal on some 35s now.
