can i go to 10 or will the bead pop?

How wide are your wheels?

 

As long as you're running 8" wide wheels then you'll be fine at 10 psi. I run 5psi and haven't popped a bead yet... I run 35x12.50s on an 8" wheel.

25 on the road???? Do you notice any floating or bouncing at that level???

I know that my Firestone Destination MT in a 12.5" width on 8" wheels don't like pressures below 30psi at road speeds.

 

I run 27 on the road.

 

Alright then yes you should be fine with 10psi, just dont be racing around corners

 

I run 10 in the woods but could go down more .I run about 20 on the hwy to keep the ware even

 

I have 7" rims for this very reason!! I can go to 10 psi no problem!!

 

I was just going to post a thread asking how low people run their tires, and how oftern the air down. Looking at most peoples wheeling pictures, it appears to me that not too many people air down, but maybe I haven't looked at enough pictures.

 

Speaking for myself I have yet to need to air down, too much of a hassle IMO to do it without needing to do so.

 

I air down in soft ground conditions like sand or mud. I go to 10-12 psi and run 28 psi on the road. If I am heavily loaded I run 30 psi on the road.

I usually run just under 30 on the road (BFG ATs) and have yet to air down on the beach, mud, and rocks. I know that I'd benifit from doing so. I aired down once at a little rock course in Humboldt County, Kyle wheeled it with me (but not when I aired down). After spending 30 minutes with a 12v compressor, I gave up on the novelty. If If I had OBA, I'd air down more often.

Exactly, with my Jeep budget airing down just isnt practical. One day...

 

I have this compressor and it is really fast for a 12v compressor http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/...%20Compressors They run it on sale for 49.00 sometimes. Had a flat on mine one day (nail in tire slow leak) and pumped it up in about 3 min.(235/75/15).
