Default How long should my drive shaft be???

i have a 96 XJ with a automatic tranny, and i'm looking to buy a 8'' coil conversion lift kit. my only problem is i don't know how long of a drive shaft i need to buy. do i need to buy the lift then somehow measure how long of one i need or is there like a standard length for a 8'' lift??? thanks for your time

Install the kit then measure for your new shaft.

The dimension you need is from center of u-joint cap to center of u-joint cap.

Once you've got that dimension you can order the correct length shaft.

Your selection will be based on not only the length, but also on which type of SYE you have....and at 8" of lift you will have to install an SYE.
