how to get the gas out of a tank?

Default how to get the gas out of a tank?

anyone know how? without haveing to buy a syphen or haveing to suck it out. the tank is out of the jeep but its about half full and i wana try and save the gas probably about 25 bucks in there. i tried tipping it and pouring it out of the large filler hole but it wouldnt come out probably baffeled? and there no drain plug.

I assume you want to keep the tank intact, but if ya don't, punch hole or two in it lol. Other than that, if you don't want to siphon it out, not sure there is much you can do.

Not expensive at all to suck it out with a cheap hose and gambling you dont drink it. Not sure if this will work, but if you fill a rubber hose with gas, put your thumb over one end, stick the other in the tank, and let your thumb off, you can create a siphon without trying to drink it first.

ya i dont wana punch a hole in it and risk blowing up and i definatly dont wana drink any ill just go pick up a siphon. its got a hole in it thats why i had to take it out.

If it has a hole in it already, don't see any harm in making it bigger lol.

Elevate the fuel tank. Put a hose in the filler tube. Wrap a rag around the hose and filler tube to try to make the tank air tight. Blow into the hose to create pressure in the tank while keeping the end of the hose you are blowing into lower than the tank. Gas should flow out into a bucket or something. Same principle as blowing into a balloon.
