How are doors held on
Hello all, i have a 4 door 2000 XJ. Ive noticed my passenger door is slightly misaligned and wet leaks in sometimes due to the door not sealing properly. Then i noticed I have welds on the top part of the hinges that connect to the door jamb. I dont know how 2000 XJ doors are held on from the factory? So im not sure if these are factory welds or what? So anyone with more knowledge would be great in helping me out. Also I think my door pin bushings are worn out.

The hinges are welded to the body and bolted to the door with a torx head. If you are confident you can get it to line up again, get some door shims and put them in on the door side and see how that helps.

Ok so they are factory welded. Im just wondering if mine have been redone of if they welded them on crooked from the factory. First im gonna replace the door pins and bushings and see what that does. Im able to lift the door up a bit and feel the slack, which im sure its not suppose to have.
Seals look good still but if im able to align the door then Ill get new ones for sure.
