ABS is a load of bull in my opinion. Only time I've ever kicked it on is on purpose because the way I was taught to drive. And those times always made me slide more than if I hadn't had ABS.

You could also check and see if u have a relay for abs. well i like to be able to stop quick rather than swerve because if i swerve i'm going over...the center of mass on the cherokee is very high.. watch the vid. and i'm assuming that cherokee has a sway bar..which i don't have

This is true... ABS has a little black ball. Kinda looks like a 8 ball..... In my opinion abs sucks!!!! I've had nothing but problems with it since I've got the truck. I've even replaced that 250 dollar ball looking thing ( pressure accumilator) and abs sensors all around (300 bucks) and still have problems. NEXT XJ WILL NOT HAVE ABS!!!!!

Didnt get to go drifting because it got to dark and couldnt find my hidden trail off the road.
But i checked and theres a black ball but not by the brake booster.
Does anyone have a pic of this 8 ball lookin abs?
Just to be sure?
I checked my brakes didnt look like it had wires coming out, but it was too dark to tell.
I also looked for that black box in the rear seat couldnt find it.

The black ball stes next to the master cylinder,it is bigger than an 8 ball it is more the size of a softball. If I can find a picture I will send it to you.

No that is a vacuum bottle,if you had abs the hyd pump would be under it. Take a picture of your engine bay and I will tell you if you do.

Yes you can,my jeep had abs until it went out,do to cost of replacement I just switched it over to normal brakes, all that is left on my front axle is the tone ring and a small wire,my rear diff has been changed out to a D44 which did not have abs,I am also putting discs on it soon.
It was easy to tell by the pictures, the components are not small,if you ever see one you will know what I mean.

just check in your fuse box for "ABS CLUTCH" fuses. if you dont have them, then you dont have ABS
