Default How do i tighten up loose belt driven fan?

im not sure why but my belt driven fan has all of a sudden gotten loose and i need to tighten it back up. the fan doesnt have a bolt in the center to tighten it or anything, how would i go about fixing this problem, there also seems to be a bunch of grease/oil around fan, dont kno if somethign broke or not but xj is running at good temp and everything, just the fan is loose. any help would be greatly appreciated

There are 4 bolts holding the fan to the fan clutch and 4 nuts holding the fan clutch to the pulley. Try tightening all of them. If there's play in the fan clutch itself, you're looking at a new one. ~$40

Tomorrow morning when the suns out, take a short video of you grabbing the fan and shaking it.

Like I said, there are 4 bolts holding the fan to the fan clutch. Take a closer look and try and get a wrench down there (it'll be a tight fit)
