I have a 1998 XJ that is in need of a new serpentine belt. I was shopping on rockauto.com today and there were 8 different ones that seemed to fit the description. They were all different lengths with different ribs, etc. How can I tell which one I need?

 

Easy way is to pull your belt and take it to a parts store and buy one that matches or is very slightly shorter. Kinda depend on how much yours is streched.

 

auto parts store will tell you the exact one you need. they punch in your model/year/package and have the info for you.
