This is a thread on a thermo housing fix. Not a fuel pump problem. Keep it that way.

Esther way it's just a temporary fix. I tend to get OCD when it comes to the engine , you all know that guy the one that has the car that looks beat to hell and back but when you lift the hook there isn't a drop of oil , dirt, or grim on the engine . I like it that way

I'm at a cross road . The engine is a pos I know it you know it and it must go . My choices are sell my jeep and start over with a 4.0 L or get a new engine .
My pros and cons are : i know my jeep, I like the baby poo brown color and newer ones didn't come in that color , that makes mine a one of a kind.
Con's : 2.8 has no real power , a new engine (4.0) means converting a lot of stuff to make it fit , it's also my work " truck"and it will be out of survives for how ever long it would take me to swop it out and make the mods
Newer xj I would inherent some one else's crap and would have to start all over
