My automatic window fell down all by itself awhile ago and I just taped it up until I could take a look at it. I'm attaching a pic of what's wrong.

That thing is supposed to push the window up, but how is it broken and where should it be attached at?
I'm going to stare at it for awhile and maybe I'll figure it out but if I don't, any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

that end is supposed to be attached to the motor. I can't quite see the fasteners in your pic (think they are rivets, PITA to drill out BTW), its in side the door, above/fwd of hte armrest IIRC. I think the repair is to replace the entire motor assembly (that includes this cable)

Thats the worm gear that goes into the bracket of the power window lift (does it go to the motor itself of the lift itself, I dont know from that pic?). Youll need to take off all the brackets in there and pull them out, see how/where it broke and rig up a fix for it. Mine did this a few years back. Give yourself a long day and you NEED to be creative.

Yeah, the second time mine went I really wanted to rip it all out. The ONLY thing I like about power is I can put the back down and get some air in the cab without the wind & noise right in my face. Other than that, power windows suck hard.

Thanks for all the responses everyone.
I don't know why I don't Google things before I ask questions here. After a quick search I found a page with instructions on exactly what to do.

So my window is now rigged up with cotter pins. I think it should do the job for awhile and if it fails again I'll replace the whole regulator now that I know how to get it out.
Thanks again!
