what PSI should my tires be?, its a stock 96 cherokee SE

Also if you look in the glove compartment it should have a sticker that tells you what the tire pressure should be based on the factory tire size.

DO NOT go by the PSI on the tires, that is a safety rating NOT a specification. You should have a sticker on the drivers door or Jam or in the glove box, for stock sized tires. If you have oversized tires you might need to go by trial and error or use the Chalk Method. I have the same model rig as you running 30 BFG and run 30psi.

It's how far you can stick a piece of chalk up your azz while holding your breath. Then you blow into the valve stem. If the chalk pops out while you are blowing ...the resulting pressure is just right. If it gets lost up there, you are under inflated. If it crumbles while you are blowing, you are over inflated.

i have never heard of the chalk method but let me take a guess

draw a line on your tire with the chalk and drive for a lil bit come back and see if your over or under inflated by were the chalk rubed off?
