Default how do i do this??

well a few weeks ago i hit a deer and screwed up my front bumper,grill,ect... mine is chrome now but im goin to black out my xj and wanted a black one,i know how to switch the front end out but my handles are chrome as well,how do i change them to black ones? or can i just sand them and bedline them? like the rest of my jeep?

It will not look good if you bed line the handles. The button to open the door will never work right and if you get the bed liner in around the button it will eventually wear off and look like crap. Just go to the junkyard and take a door apart and get those.

you have to take off the door panel and look inside an you will see two nuts that hold the handle on plus the bar that opens the door

make sure youve got good tools. and be ready to snap a couple of clips. there are some small plastic clips that connects the metal rods that work the door locks. be careful not to loose em!. an option is to spray the handles with a good quality paint. do some really light layers and see if that works. i guess it comes down to how labor intensive you wanna go. the spraying is deff. easier. but make sure to do it right!
