use sea foam. grab an old tupperware bowl. Make a little rack that holds the injectors with the connector side up, let them soak over night. then take compressed air and clean everything down.

You will never be able to get the internals really well unless you pull the injector apart, But that is not easy....

That will be the best you can do it at home from my knowledge.

The way you can make a rack is just tie some string around the electric connector and then hang them off of a ruler. that way you soak them and have control of them all at once

when i cleaned mine, i made a device that opened the injectors with a 9v, put a bit of tubing on the back side of the injector, filled the tube a few inches with carb cleaner, and put compressed air behind it (30psi should be fine), then just hit the air and click the button a few times till all the carb cleaner went through the injector. THEN do it backwards to flush out any big conntaminents that may not fit through the neon injectors 4 holes.

If you would like, i can go take a picture of the injector opener i made. just let me know.

ya that would be good. it would give me some ideas on how to do it.

i was thinking maybe make some use of the ultrasonic cleaner i have a work and then putting some voltage to the injector.

Ok, just snapped some pics for ya. No it doesnt look pretty but it worked for what i needed it to. The only thing i didnt get to show was the tubing attached to the injector and fuel compressor. That should be pretty obvious though.

Remove your old orings, toss them. DO NOT put the new ones on as carb cleaner is not the best for them.
Set your air compresor to around 30psi (the injectors can do 49, but 30 is hard to hold the tubing on anyway)
Connect some tube to your injector and put a hose clamp on it, not to tight so you dont crack the injector.
Then spray some carb cleaner into the tube, maybe 3-5 inches up the tube
Attach the air nozzle to the other end of the tube and put a hose clamp around it
Apply a bit of air while hitting the switch to open the injector (keep clicking it like an injector works)

Just flush the fluid through the big opening first (so it sprays out the 4 holes on the neon injector) then back flush it so it comes out the big opening (to remove any big debris that may be in there that wont fit out of the small holes.

Once you done cleaning them, let them sit overnight to dry and then install the oring (NEW ONES) When you install them, apply a bit of ATF or vaseline to the oring and put into the fuel rail (bit hard to do) then once all 6 are in, push them into the manifold and wiggle the rail a bit to make sure there in good. Then bolt them down, connect your wires and your all set.

injector connector

^^switch i used that was laying around, off-temporary on switch will do

^^ injector connected

hope this helps you out a bit, let me know if you have any other questions and ill try to answer or im sure someone on the forums will answer it

oh, forgot to mention. When your cleaning them...its a hell of a lot easier to have two people unless you have patience and dont mind getting sprayed with carb cleaner when the tube flys off
