Pull the coil wire, remove ASD relay, disconnect the battery, don't leave the keys in it, remove all the spark plugs, remove the distributor cap, unplug the ignition switch, remove all the fuses, etc...

These are the posts that give me a headache...
What do you mean?
Are you doing 100+ mph on the highway and your brakes aren't working?
Or do you want the jeep not to.start? Don't turn the key? Or are you trying to lie to.someone so you don't have to give out a ride to.someone? Pour milk in the crankcase, and on the spark plugs, that should work...
Just messing with you bro. Give more details and you might get better answers

Sorry i wasnt clear enough by simply asking how i can stop my engine from running. I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee, My name, my mother keeps taking it from me using my gas, ect. Shes even gone to the lengths of crashing it and me having to find out. I was just wandering what i should do by disabling the vehicle.

Did you pay for the Jeep? Is the Jeep in your name? Did you pay for the gas? You pay for the insurance?
The fact that you're considering disabling the Jeep instead of just not letting it happen leads me to believe that the answer to all of the above questions is "no".

Hmmm... you could try removing the muffler bearings. That would stop her.
Or drain the Headlamp fluid. She wouldn't be able to drive at night that way.
Or, play a dirty trick on her. Rotate your tires incorrectly. Put the back tires on the front and front tires on the back. That one is a laugh riot. She won't be going anywhere at that point.
Kidding aside, just take your key back from her. If you can't manage the muster to do that, then any of the previous posters suggestions will keep it from running... might not want to do the milk thing though... just saying

Get one of those red button starter switches hidden under the dash. (Won't start without hitting switch) Pretty sure any audio store can rig it up (they do here) Or like they said.. Move out/kick her out/charge her for gas money.

Which ever you decide, keep in mind, that if ur Ma thinks it will start, and it doesn't, she'll probably crank it till the battery dies.
