Default How can I get my hood open?

Hey folks, I'm trying to figure out how to get the hood open on my 2000xj after the entire cable snapped. Does anyone have any ideas? No, I can't use pliers, my c able is entirely gone.

Take the kick panel off and remove what's left of the broken pull handle. Use a set of vice grips and pull on the cable.
