I have a hose that is hanging down (see picture). I am not sure where it attaches, if it needs to be replaced, or if I have a larger issue I need to address. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My Jeep is a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo 4.0

Use a zip tie to secure it up near the MAP sensor. It's the vent hose for the front diff. It should have a weird white cap thing on the end.

 

Whoa I have the same hose on my 95 laredo hangin down...have not had a chance to address it. No white cap thing though. hmm.

If it is the diff breather, the cap is a filter to stop dirt getting in.
