91 cherokee dana 35 with auto trans, has developed a horrible roar, the roar gets worse as you get goin faster down the road, i looked at the rear axle where drive shaft enter the axle, and its covered in fluid. and the trans is makin a horrible clunk noise when you put it into any gear. idk what the cause of this could be, any suggestions.,

 

What kind of fluid? Is it dripping all the way down from the tcase or tranny or is it from the axle? That clunk may be from a blown ujoint

 

the pumpkin in the rear axle is leakin where the drive shaft connects to it

 

Bad seal in that rear end, make sure its not runnin dry

 

it just started roaring like hell, so ill check the fluid in rear end tomorrow and ill get back to yall
