Default Horn stopped working

HELP!

My horn stopped working just the other day on my 97 Cherokee Sport after apparently sounding off on its own (I was parked and standing just inside a nearby doorway) Key was in the ignition. I pressed the steering wheel activator and it went out, NOW, no horn ( went out in traffic yesterday) and the steering activator is mushy (normally firm)

Is this some sort of electrical issue/fuse problem or something else???

Driving in Miami without a horn is like a death sentence!!!

Check your fuses. That would be the first thing I would suspect.

Thanks 4 the prompt response...

That would be the interior fuss panel on the right?

I did not see anything indicating horn in the box under the hood.

Fuse #21 on the inside fuse panel. Should be rated 15amps.

Get the bumper sticker that says:

"Horn broken. Watch for hand signals".

When I got my xj the horns tone would very while in use lol then one day it just stopped and didn't work for a couple months then came back normal. That was when it was protected in the stock bumper. I now have an aftermarket bumper so its exposed, when I hit large amounts of mud or water it gets soaked and doesn't work for a day or so till it dries out. This probably wasn't helpful but its what mine did lol
