i drove though some water and later that day i notice my horn seemed muffled a week later i did the same thing but i can hardly hear my horn now and i cant find where the horn is in my 00' Cherokee sport

 

Your horns are on the front corners of your xj. Just behind the bumper. My thought is You might have got some water up in it and could probably just unbolt them and drain the water out. Just make surrbyo don't have any shorts in the wiring causing it.

Doubt e shorted it probably just mud and water. Here's some pics I redid my bunper and turned my horns upward, theres a lil more clearance and they are a lil louder now plus I cleaned all the metal, since it's ground and dielectric silicone too







Don't know what happened to my better pics might be on my busted phone. Remove the bumper end caps there is a hex bolt holding it in place. It's a lil stiff but it'll come out
