Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I thought about hood vents but I don't really get how they don't just let **** tons of water into everything under the hood.

Di electric your connections. That's about it. Or install drain pans. Or get louvered vents from a marine supply store that block some water. A bunch of different options. I used google to get my ideas since a lot of users here do a bunch of the same styles
