Im also currious as to what you used for the swivel mount?
The swivel consisted of a 1 1/4" sch.40 pipe on top of a 1" sch. 40 pipe and then a 3/4" bushing inside of that. Then I used a bolt for the actual pin.

i would like to build one of these, but i like being able to see out of my rearview. im going to come up with one that doesnt move off the hatch, just reenforce it so when you lift the hatch the carrier goes up with it. basically just attatch it to the hatch itself and move the license plate

how are thos rear lights holding up?

in my experience, those types of driving lights crack when they're on for awhile then contact water.
