My homebrew cable operated axle disco served me well for a long time. I'm sure yours will work good for you, too.

There is a simple process to just modify it to stay engaged >> https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/fr...ss-91-a-38629/
MIGHT cause just a tad more wear and friction, but the disco was eliminated 94? Anyway I don't mind having mine working as designed. A just snug zip-tie keeps my double vacuum plug from
getting knocked off easily.
Idk. if anyone has tried having there spiders welded and using the disco to engage full pozy.

The easy method I know of to keep the axle engaged is to pull the fork and actuator off and turn it upside down and re-install it. Holds the fork holds the ring in the engaged position with 0 vacuum that way. I did that once to get out of a trail when my cable actuator broke.
