a brush guard i fabbed up from some steel my brother-in-law had laying around. the top bar is a little uneven, but it's not that noticeable. whadda ya think?

nice, looks fairly stout, and cheaper than an aftermarket bumper. Very cool!

Looks good. Homebrew stuff is always awesome. Much better than seeing a bought not built brush guard on your XJ!!

how did you bend the hoop part or did you just cut and weld?

I agree with KamoKid, homebrew is ALWAYS cooler that stuff bought at a store.

i just got my angle where i wanted to bend, stuck it in a vise, heated it with a torch, and bent it real slow so it wouldn't crinkle. it did crinkle a little, but i just heated the bend back up and hammered it flat with a sledge.
