Default highway death wobble!

PLEASE READ! help! i got a 94 xj with a 3" RC lift on stock 27's for the moment, on the highway every time a hit a pretty good series of bumps i get a horrible death wobble! not a D shaft vibe, a violent front end shimmy and shake, when i pull over to the shoulder (cause it so bad) it smoothes out at 25mph, then a speed up to 50+ again with no problems until i hit anther bump. it's happend three times and i hate doing it cause it sounds pretty destructive to all the front end components, just alighned and i'm sure it will still do it but i'm to scared to see. it also happens when i take a corner at 50 or so and push the breaks. it;s only happens since i got my lift put on so it's not the rotars. steering stablelizer possibly?

Not the steering stabilizer, that is there to make the steering smooth. I ran my jeep without a steering stabilizer for a month just to prove this to a buddy.

Your problem is most likely with your track bar or control arms.

Now that i look over that bit of info... sounds more like track-bar. What trackbar do you have?

...(are your tires balanced well?)

No...it won't cause major harm to anything. But i would get your front tires off the ground and see if you get any movement... I have a "work" jeep with 200k on the current ball joints. 3 short DWs wont kill them.

sorry to strongly disagree about the stabilizer shock. That has everything to do with the death wobble. change it

okay, most of these death wobble threads i've read mention nothing about the DW occuring after bumps? they say that get to about 60 and get a DW? theres a spcific spot on my highway where the roads been redone thats set of my DW twice? mine happens after bumps or like i said braking on a corner? is that a normal DW?

steering wheel shakes likes its coming off in your hand (death wobble) and replace the stabilizer shock.........
