I'm doing a rear main and it's got almost 200,000 miles on it. I'm gonna do the oil pump as well. Is a high volume pump gonna hurt? Help????

There is no need for a high-volume pump. The system works very well as-is.
A high-volume pump will put more strain on the distributor (or cam-sensor depending on year) gear and roll-pin... I am already seeing roll-pins shearing off with stock pumps, it will be worse with a high-volume.
Sheared roll-pin = Jeeper walking or waiting for the tow truck

I picked up a high volume here recently and have yet to install it. I will let you know my feedback when i found out. I was hoping it would increase oil pressure but after reading a bunch more I doubt it will. I should be looking at doing my engine bearings but not feeling confident enough to do them.

I'm figuring with the amount of oil I have to wipe out of my air intake every couple of weeks that my oil pressure is just fine...LOL.

Dang Stryker. I was just thinking my air intake mess was due good oil pressure. You brought me back to my sad reality that it is more likely due to 245K on the ticker....LOL. She still runs like a scalded Jackelope, though!!!

I may just run mine down to a small bottle and just periodically dump it back in the valve cover....LOL. Really don't like the oil going in the air intake.

Eh no real need for a high flow oil pump in a stock 4.0. A stock replacement would work just fine. Just make sure you either clean the heck out of the pickup tube or buy a new one.
