Default High Pitch Noise/Squeak/Chirping with Video

Hey Everyone,

So I started to hear some odd noise coming from the engine. You can hear it its like a constant high pitch noise. Honestly it sounds like noise you hear from some beat up ghetto beater. I dunno what it is, my noise isn't so loud. You can faintly hear it while waiting at a light. It doesn't get any louder and disappears at anything higher then idle.

It has oil, the idler pulley will be replaced, if I can get a chance to do it next weekend. I also plan on replacing the belt even though it only has 50k on it.

I created a short video, where you can hear the constant squeaking/chirping noise. I can't determine where its coming from but it doesn't appear to be the rockers. I had to point the camera some place so take a listen and see if you can hear the noise and tell me what it is.

Check out the belt tension. Kinda sounds like something I had not too long ago and thought I had the belt tight enough...turns out not quite the case. I would start there.

X2 on belt tension. Also if it goes away when you ever so slightly open the throttle, check for vacuum leaks

simple fool proof test. pour a medium size cup of water on your belt, if the squeal stops than its your belt, if it changes in noise dramatically its your belt. the bearings would not be affected by a cup of water. belt is a sinch!
