Default High pinion swap issues w/ pics.

So I'm the second owner of this XJ. The HP axle was already there. Has the stock track bar.
I noticed that the axle is off to the driver side. I'm guessing that's why the passenger upper control arm hits the oil pan. But why off centered??
First pic shows the full adjustment of the steering wheel.
second pic shows the oil pan being hit.
third pic shows the HP axle.
fourth pic is what the wheel looks like driving straight.
last pic shows the track bar location on the axle. wandering if it's different from the LP axle.
Would an adjustable track bar fix these issues??
Any help would be great. Thanks.

Oh ya, already got an alingment. Everything is now good, but 3 alingment shops couldn't figure out what's up with the steering wheel.

wow you got me on that one... this thing must be seriously tweaked!!!

lets get some pics of the track bar mount on the body, & upper & lower control are brackets or the body. can you turn the wheel all the way from left to right?

I can, but I lose about a 1/4 turn to the left.

longer track bar needed to set the front axle more to pass side which will let the drag link be adjusted over further and center the wheel

well first off I would say that the steering wheel issue is from the pitman arm being put on the steering box splined shaft while the steering wheel was turned pretty far (i beleive it would be pass. side). thus needing to adjust the tierod sleeve all the way in.

Onces I got that straitened, I would look into where the axle is reletive to the jeep. The control arm mounts dont look mangled, but the body very well could be twisted! Either way I'd say the best fix would be at leasts a 2" lift & an adjustable tracebar if it still sat way off once your steering is fixed!

well either way the trace bar needs to be delt with... it wont go away from just adjusting the steering!

recentering the axle should clear up the steering wheel issue
