Default high oil pressure after trail?

normally my oil pessure stays at 1/4 and when i step on the gas it goes up to just over 1/2 on the gage...

so i went mudding last weekend, and after the next day when i started up my jeep the oil pressure was at 3/4 maybe bit more....so i did an oil change and filter thinking that this was my problem, but it has stayed the same...only once the jeep is really hot doe it go back to normal..

can anyone tell me what i should be looking for?

I'd say you got mud or whatever where it doesn't belong. Try cleaning the Oil Pressure Sending Unit connector.
