high mount brake light

high mount brake light
so i dont know if it common, but my center high mount stop lamp was inop. i noticed the bulb had burnt out, so i replaced it. but it still doesn't work.. a quick check with a test light indicated no power at the connector.. any ideas? i dont know where the wiring harness runs...thanks!
