omg, what have I done?! I'm never suggesting an oil again. Whatever oil you choose, just change it frequently. Check it even more frequently. Also, any 00 or 01 owners should peek under the oil cap and inside the valve cover...but that's for another thread (there are hundreds of them).

Alright guys come on now. Everyone has spoken their minds, gotten their words in. Let's just leave it at that now. Let's not bash each other any further.

Default High Mileage!

Hey everyone! I’m new to the forum! I just purchased a 2000 cherokee classic for $2500. The downfall is that it has 234,000 miles. it was rust sprayed when new and has been taken care of. the test drive was immaculate and there are no bad sounds. it has a 3.5 inch lift with brand new 33x10.5 tires. i want to ask what should i do to make it as reliable as possible? i intend to do new 4 hole injectors and eventually a new throttle body and get it tuned properly! thanks!!

I usually just change oil & filter, air filter, check other fluid colors, inspect underneath truck carefully, relax & drive it around for a bit.
Pretty sure my previous 200k XJ still had original plug wires
