Default High idle on start up...Please help!!!!!

Ok, so I got the XJ cheap, changed the oil pan gasket thanks to some help on this site. I could'nt figure out the high idle thing. I took it to the shop and they said we cant find anything other than an air leak from the intake. I went to pick it up tonight and of course it wasnt fixed!!! On 80% of starts the idle immediately jumps to about 2000rpm and stays there until i unplug this 3 pin plug on the front right of the motor, idle then goes down and stays down until I have to start it again. Any guidiance would be awesome at this point....thank you in advance, i forgot to add that the shop fixed the intake gasket and cleaned everything relating to the intake stuff. { Jeep still there}

witch 3 pin plug are you disconecting. I'd bet that the sensor that is connected at the other end is the problem.
