Default High Idle after warm?

Hi... I'm getting the Jeep working again, its an 88 Renix.. with 92 cooling system swap.. which has nothing to do with the high idle..

It seems high initially after I start it.. but just a little high.. although after it warms up.. it idles very high.. like it would drive its self. I don't have a tach so I cant say where its at..but high enough if its in gear I actually have to press the breaks pretty good to keep it from just driving its self LOL. Also.. gas mileage obviously is crap at best.

Any ideas on what the issue is? Thanks!.. I plan on tearing it apart as soon as I get some answers here so please post quickly if you know.. appreciate it again all! Thanks!

check any hangups on the throttle line.. if its been sitting, gunk might have built up.

Mine does the same exact thing sometimes. I cleaned the IAC and it helped but It needs replaced.

Yeah try cleaning your IAC.If that doesn't help replace it.

Well I did replace the O2 sensor earlier... it helped a bit.. more of a "steady" idle still high however.. I will try cleaning those sensors tomorrow.
