I have a 1989 Cherokee, 4.0L. I changed out a leaking injector and when I did i snapped the line going from the mapsensor to the throttle body. I changed out the line and started it....idling 2000 rpms...so...changed out my IAC and mapsensor and now it is idling 3000 rpms...

I am lost. The only other thing I see could be a problem is the Idle Relay and Solenoid. Looked at it just now and the bak of it looks crispy critter.

Am going to see if I can find that but in the mean time...does anyone have any suggestions?

Throttle Position Sensor?....tried that as well and didn't make any difference.

I am being told it is an internal vaccuum leak? but my problem is that if I go put it on a diagnostic machine I have major problems. I live in a very little town with only a couple of shops. They do not like me because I do repairs myself and I am female. So they want to charge me an ungodly amount to even do a check (150.00/hr)...

Anyway....going bak to the drawing board...thanks for the input.
