So I installed my hid light kit and have been having problems ever since. When I have my 99 xj running they work fine but when I turn the car off with the light switch pushed all the way in they come on a stay on and when they finally go out the like flicker and one goes off and one stays on. I think it may be a bad ground wire or something..any help..

If your lights worked fine before you installed HIDs, im guessing its gotta be something in the HID kit. You have your wires nice n tight that head into the blue plastic housing piece? The black ground goes into the center hole? Your ballast is mounted nice and not smashing into stuff? (ballasts are pretty durable though)

may be the headlight switch is porblematic.
for ZJ,
i fixed light switch in ZJ , it was causing dash lights to flicker, after resoldering points it is ok, but it acts like it is always in auto position even it is not. so i always need to turn it on and off two times to be sure that head lights are not on.

if you do have a 99 you have a auto off relay under your dash
if you leave your lights on after you trun your jeep off THEN push it in. they will stay on for 60 sec ( or whatever time it is ) your hids and bulbs should be fine..
let the HIDS flicker, go in side your jeep and see if you can hear your auto off relay going crazy.. when you find it put it out and you should be fine..

until you remove the relay just turn the high beams on then shut them off.
