it hiccups at idle. Sounds like a miss but its not constant. tune up parts are fairly new (cap rotor plugs wires) is there anything else i should look for? it drives fine but i get mediocre gas mileage. It does have the infamous long crank times Renixes are known for but other than that its fine.

Where should i start?

 

I have a similar problem. Some people recommended spraying some carb cleaner around the intake where it meets the head.. In the meantime, I did replace, cap, rotor, plugs, wires.. I tried a new TPS, CPS, IAT.. same thing..
Then this morning I took a can of carb cleaner ans when I sprayed it around the number one cylinder intake runner, it bogged bigtime, so there it is.. I either have a cracked manifold or a bad seal, but I torqued those bolts down probably 5 times, so I am guessing a cracked manifold in my case.
In short, give the carb cleaner spray test a try, I wish I would have done that earlier before I started throwing parts at it..

 

i just installed poly mounts...a cracked i.m. is a possibility when my old mounts went bad i have no idea how long the p.o. drove it around like that.any other possibilities?
