while i drive my oil fluctuates.. it will go down on stop signs to the first mark or sometimes under. but when i press gas it goes up to middle. checked oil and its above safe line. what is the beef?

anyway to check? but could an oil leak cause that to happen to? cause my oil pan gasket could have sprung one.

 

Normal... oil pressure will fluctuate between idle and higher RPM.

 

so i shouldnt worry? what ever its at when i gas is the one i should look at?

It will drop at idle and climb during acceleration. This is a normal thing, the oil pump runs off the distribiter shaft. At idle the oil pump is turning at lower rpms and as you increase rpm the pump turns faster, thus low presure at idle and higher presure at driving speed. Just worry when it doesnt do this,
