Hi again. Didn't think id be back so soon. So this time my Jeep is hesitating when i accelerate. I drove to a junkyard 20 miles away with no problems. Doing 70 as normal. Went there to find a gasket for my FPR as mine was leaking. I took mine off to replace the gasket and after i put it back in and tightened it, it drove home barely topping 35. Sometimes if i turn on the car and rev the engine it will run smoothly until i turn it off again. Any suggestions? I've scoured everywhere online and cannot find a solution to this problem. It may be in limp mode for all I know. Gonna try to take it to autozone for a computer scan unless i fix it today.
Consider whether the pump itself is faulty, its "fuel sock" blocked, or the filter blocked..have you checked fuel pressure at the valve ?
it is a 1993. The pump has been loud since i bought it a week ago. Just seems kinda coincidental that once i change the FPR it acts up. Or is it? Idk still got a lot to learn about these vehicles lol. Sometimes itll run fine and other times itll just start hesitating again. Like it has a mind of its own.
If yours is vacuum operated, take a good look at the vacuum lines to the FPR. My right angled elbow piece was cracked so I just used a small length of vacuum hose to replace it.

Would it be good to glue the rubber ends on the tube? Had to replace them. When driving to the junkyard i was missing the piece that hooked onto the fpr itself and it ran fine. All i had to worry about was the fuel leak since fuel was somewhat shooting out of the nozzle. And now it isn't even doing that.

You shouldn't need to but it may help if there is a leak.
One thing you could do without a pressure gauge is to listen to the engine with it all connected, then pull the vacuum line off and block it off to the manifold. If the engine runs any different you know the FPR is doing something.
If you haven't driven far since doing the change, it may be worth disconnecting your battery leads and hold them together for about 5 seconds. This should set the PCM back to stock running to allow it to relearn its fuel trims etc. If this is nonsence please let me know anyone reading.

after following your advice and gluing the rubber nozzles to the hose I am happy to say that she is up and running like her normal self again. Was able to get up to 70 easily multiple times! Thanks for messaging and giving advice for once another problem so simple It is stupid lol.

Think i found the culprit to my hesitation problem in my 93 cherokee. This was from my fuel filter. Cloudy old gas along with slushy sediment. If this wasnt the reason then idk what is LOL. guess an eventual tank drop n clean is in order. The side going to the engine was clear like normal and the backside going to the tank was that. Yikes.
