wow I've been meaning to try this on my floorboards cause i have a 100% open jeep (no roof, no doors, no carpet, back is chopped). I heard not only does this stuff get hot, but is very slippery when wet too..
did you do any prep work before spraying? I like that Herculiner 'roll on' application, but spray is probably a slightly more even coat, right?
I like how yours turned out, what did you spend total?
you can see my Onboard Air setup, but the back is completely open (that hilift jack is now mounted on my front bumper).

yeah just clean up everything try to remove all the rust. PBR the rust spots. umm Use acetone or something similar to prep before you roll or spray becuase it will allow the stuff to stick better and longer. I used the roll stuff and it is fairly even everywhere. I havent tried the spray so I cant say good or bad things about it. The only part that gets hot is my Tranny area it gets pretty toasty in the summer so dont hit it with your leg haha. I live GA so it gets about 110 normally in the summer and the floors arent too hot and the herculiner stuck to my floors didnt melt off or anything. I recommend this stuff.
i also spent $99.99($100 also ^_^ ) for my Herculiner - Bed Liner and Bed Liner Coating

thats what i should do with mine too. if i ever hav time that is. take the carpet out and im sure there is rust somewhere and clean that up as best as i can, then spray with rusty metal primer, then herculine it, then maybe outdoor carpet or fabric mats. seems to me the rubber mats would smell to much when you need the windows closed. i hav my brand new spare tire in back and thats all i smell.
I did this to my jeep too. I love it! I also have the rubber mats. My floor boards get a little warm but they arn't bad. That heat is nice in the winter. But it's never to hot to melt my mats. Plus it cleans up nice. And I used a whole can on the inside to make it tough.
