Exclamation Helpp 91 to 96 axle swap

hey what's up guys new to the site....my problem is that I have a 91 xj with a locked up rear diff and a broken front left axle shaft. so I shopped around at various junk yards and shops on price quotes and was told between 500-800 just to replace the stock diff. so I picked up a 96 Cherokee country for $200 (blown head gasket, missing drive shafts, and tcase)...its got the Chrysler 8 1/4 rear end or w.e and a dana 30 up front with 3.55 gears. since mine has a d35 and a d30 with 307 gears so I am in the process of swapping the rear axles. once finished I was going to swap the front also but on my 91 it has the vacuum actuator and the 96 doesn't so will I be able to swap them and what do I need to do?..........can i replace just the diff and the axle or can i replace the whole front axle with some modification.....

i can put up pics if needed

Of course you can swap them and getting rid of the disco d30 for the 1 piece axle shaft d30 is a good upgrade. I did it too and never regretted it.

Nope just bolt it up and get rid of the vac lines and your good. Those disco's give nothing but problems anyways.
