i hAve a 2000 cherokee sport an yesterday i was getting my mail an rolled my window which are not crank an i went to roll it back up an nothing.So i checked all the fues i could wiht out a diagram n didnt see any bad ones, i aslo tryed 3 differnt switches from the one that was in it an nothing, the lock or mirrors or window work its the middle of winter an i have to drinve to for work any suggestuons will b appcreated

 

Check the wiring between the drivers door and body they are bad about breaking in this spot!

 

how do i get the boot off?

 

Had the same problem, but with the passenger window. Put it down and would not go back up. My friend at the dealership said the problem is almost always with the wires running from the door switch throught he frame. The wires bend when the door is opened and after many years the wires break. I forgot to ask how he put the window up, up it took only 15 minutes. I bet he removed the door skin and jumped the window motor or switch in the door. I dropped it off and they fixed the wiring the next day since the forcast was rain for the next 2-3 days.

 

Might not hurt to pop the panel off and check the regulator too. I've seen them unscrew the cable out the end sheath on the way down so there's nothing on the gear to grip and roll it back up. Used to happen all the time when I was at the dealership.

 

I'm almost positive it is the wire becacuse nothing on the drivers side works but my lock on the passenger side works but no windows I suppose I'm gonna have to take the door back ore an see what I can't fidgure out how to get the boot off
