I had a friend send me only 3 pics of this vehicle and now he's out of town... Can anyone tell what year this is by just the 3 pics? If not, thanks anyway!
Paint's running pretty good on the spare tire lettering. What'd they use, watercolor?
I know! It's been sitting for 8-10 years in a garage with a leak in the front door so the tire has seen some rain dripping in the same way over and over for years... My Dad thinks it is an 88 or 89 but I won't be able to see it and check until Monday and I'm anxious to do some research before then...
It isn't a bad thing. There are fans of both the Renix system and the Chrysler electronics that replaced it.
RENIX means Renault + Bendix, the companies that built the engine control system. (In '91 and newer they came from Chrysler instead)
You'll probably want to purchase a simple multimeter and learn how to use it. Most everything in that system can be troubleshot with that and simple hand tools. Parts are easy to find, nothing is too expensive.
The Renix system generally runs well and seems to return slightly better fuel mileage than the Chrysler system that replaced it.

Its an 89. I can tell by the taillights. Just kidding. I say pre 91.
LOL, Nice... It's not that important because I'll be able to look at the VIN on Monday but was wondering if there was an easy tell as to what year... Guess not.

Look for emission sticker under hood or build sticker in drivers door jam.
Are you going to buy that? Looking at the plate its been sitting for years unless its been driven illegally or just on private land. Just an FYI if its been sitting sense 2003 (what I'm guessing) that can cause some headaches getting it running right.

I am! Free to me so, I figured I'd give it a shot... My other post today was what do I do first to see what it needs, or if it's worth doing...
