My water pump is whining, and it is gradually getting louder. So, I'm going to replace it soon, before it decides to leave me stranded. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a replacement, or which brand? This one is (as far as I know) stock, with near 156K miles, and I'd like the peice of mind of having that same quality in my new pump. I work at a NAPA but haven't yet stomached the idea of putting on a cheap-rebuilt pump.
Is there any real benefit of going with a Flow-Kooler pump for a Daily Driver? Or what about a new MOPAR pump? Maybe I would be better off just getting a NEW (not rebuilt) replacement from Autozone/NAPA/etc?
Any advice would be appreciated guys. Thanks in advance.

Get yourself a new and not a rebuilt get a hi-flow if possible also good luck ,high flows do work very well, just my Attachment 55203
Also don't forget to make sure the thermostat is facing the right direction. That's a potential bad day in the making.

I also don't care for reman stuff like pumps, I'd just get a regular new replacement.
EDIT: Look up Part Number: TFW 42004. There's your new napa carried water pump. It's been holding up fine on mine for the last few years, and according to the online catalogue it should still be available.

just like to add here, if the pump is already squealing louder than it was before, you are VERY close to loosing it (ask me how I know).
I would decide very quickly what you want to do and get that new one on there before it lets loose.

Check out the water pump photos in my album. Just make certain the return from the head port in the pump is clear. I used a die grinder to open mine up like the original.

Thanks for the advice. My apartment is less than 1/4 mile from work, so I'm mostly walking or taking the wife's Cobalt on trips. I decided more or less park it until I figure out what to do. I was thinking of going with a Flow-Kooler but will probably just use the NAPA 42004 (still gotta check the price on a MOPAR first).
It's not so much of a squeal, but more of a high-pitch whine (almost like a turbo). I know its the water pump because I removed the belt and spun all the pulleys, and it was the only noisy one. With 156K miles, I think its earned its retirement.
Thanks again for the replies. Its very much appreciated.
