Going to need more info on your Jeep due to changes in different year models. What year, engine, trans, etc etc.

My brother has a wrecked 95 in his barn. If the answer does not come from someone else in the next day or so, I will go to his house and trace them out.

I know I can't get by there tonight due to plans already in place for the evening, but tommorow should be open. I'll take the camera with me.

The rubber hose with a bent(elbow) metal tube is the vent for the tranny or tcase. I extended mine to be just below the hood seal.

I'm not sure on the wire, I'd have to see where it comes from and the type of connection the end has, and how long it reaches.

so it doesnt have to hook into anything? it just gets safely tucked away?

ty for chiming in!
and for the wire.. it sticks out of the marked bundle is about 12-14 inches long.. everything i have done on this truck has fallen into place so easily.. and now so does the vent hose.. im sure itll be something stupid, like the connector for the hood lamp..

wait a second...

Right! actually i already tried that.. there was no wiring on the hood for it to snap into, and the terminals on the connector were too pretty and clean not to have been hooked into something...

And we have a winner. It is the wiring for the underhood light.
