First off 95 cherokee country 4.0 auto. So new map sensor, cps, plugs, wires, cap, pickup coil. started it up and runs ok in park at idle, can rev it up and its fine, put in gear go down the road runs like crap and stalls. starts back up fine and goes ok at low rpm THEN does a kinda stall and i hear a loud blowing sound from under the hood, opened the hood and it was blowing out the intake manifold, blew off the vacuum hose and all. WTF! Am I not seeing something simple?

 

Sounds like it must have backfired. Ignition problem?
