help! trapped at work!
my head lights wont turn on. I checked fuses and harnesses and the relays that i know of. the markers come on and the high beams come on when i hold the switch but no head lights or fog lights. help please.

It has to be a fuse or something, unless both happen to go out at the same time... just drive home w/ high beams... lol

update: now no nigh beams when holding switch and my high beam dash light is on and the light on switch for fogs...

uugggg now still no lights dash beam light and fog switch light went out and only come on when i hit high beams...but highs dont work. and if fog switch is off or on it lights up when i hit highs.

sounds like the headlight switch took a dump..... you CAN just hot wire the low beams to get home... you need a wire to run from battery to the plug on light.. Im not sure.. but about 90% if you hot wire one.. the other will light to...

alright now when i mess with the harness under air box the relay for timed head light shut off under dash buzzes like crazy then as i was unpluging harness by air box the lights came on! but...then the harness started smokeing.

think i found! head light side of harness the rubber came off some wires and metal wire is touching.

Ive had that connector go south also (smokin) and trashed a few dimmer switches. I pulled the air box for extra room to work. cut out the connector and wired each pair direct.

fiddled with wires enough to get the high beams to work so i could get home but the head light wires must be fried. as soon as i get them on harness starts smoking. so looks like i got some harness rewiring to do.

buzzing relay could also meen it's not getting enough voltage, could be resistance between switch and relay, so a new relay wont fully solve the problem... just a thought
