Default Help: Serpentine Belt Length

Does anyone know the spec, or where to find the spec, for the serpentine belt length (or circumference) for a 1989 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) Limited with Air Conditioning and trailer towing package?

I believe this is the correct belt routing:

1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited, 4L Serpentine Belt Routing.

The last digits on the belt part # indicate the length.

But is there a spec somewhere for the belt so I don't have to take it off to measure it?

Any parts store or online vendor should have the right one. Have you tried to get one and had it be wrong or just overthinking it?

Just buy a belt for your year and application. If the length worries you, but dont want to remove yours just yet, take some string and tape it down to the belt, then follow it around the pullies. Everything Rockauto shows are between 102.4-103". Keep in mind that belts stretch over time, so those measurements may not be 100% spot on.

I'm probably overthinking it, but it seems to me that models without AC would have a shorter belt so I'm thinking there should be at least two different sizes but none of the online sources I've checked mentions fitment details related to AC.

There might not be a belt for without AC. There IS a kit for an idler there for running without a compressor though.

Thanks all for the length, I have a new un-packaged belt I can now check for fit as a spare
