Default Help quick! Removing front bumper on an 00'...

The bracket that goes all the way back near the front tires on the "frame" has a random torx head bolt in it. It is bigger than the 4 torx that hold the bumper on the brackets. Anyways are there any tricks to getting this out? I have a t50 head which is pretty big and its loose in the bolt head. I need to know what others have done to get it out. I'm trying to get my new bumper on today in a timely manner. Id take pics but I don't know wtf my camera is.

You must have tow hook brackets. I don't know what size that is, maybe t55? I grabbed the head with some vice grips and removed the nut on the other side. Should be 21mm I think.

Yeah I "had" the tow hooks, not now since I got my dirtbound bumper on. But yes they were t55's and it took some ingenuity to get em out. What had happened was the sway bar had been rubbing against the heads of the bolt for 11 years and it was completely wore off. I could fit the t55 in it but as soon as I would turn the wrench it'd slip off, so I welded the bolt head to the frame so I could get the nut on the backside off and the broke the welds to pull the bolt out....it was a pita.
