Default Help, power window stuck down.

The right rear passenger window on my 1997 Jeep Cherokee Country is stuck nearly all the way down. It is unresponsive to any of the switches and can't be pulled up. I have had this happen twice before with different windows but they both responded after a few hours. My window has now been unresponsive for days. I do have the issue where passenger window switches rarely work but I really don't care about that. If anyone knows a solution, please respond.

Any help is appreciated.

I would check inside of the rubber boot that has the wires from the door where it goes into the body. My windows were doing the same thing then finally stopped all together and after looking inside the boot 2 of the wires had worked themselves apart. So I just re connected the writes with a new piece taped it back up and they work perfectly now with now problems. This is an easy fix and my buddy had the same problem in his cherokee and it was the same thing so....hope maybe that helps

X2 the wires get worn out from moving back and fourth with the door

My wiring on my window is shot. I keep the bottom portion of the door panel loose just so I can reach under and wiggle the wiring. I have rewired it a few times and everytime I do it works for awhile then has problems again. I just need to install new wires and connectors eventually.

But you pop the bottom part of your panel off then wiggle the wires some while holding the up switch the window will prolly work.

I ran a jumper to the battery to get mine rolled up.

there is supposed to be a clip/harness behind the drivers side kick panel.
check there for possible malfunction.
