Exclamation HELP PLEASE.... Cherokee loss all power during start up?

I am stumped here and dont know where to start. Went out to my 01 XJ today and hit the unlock button on my keys and the interior lights came on and doors unlocked as normal, then I tossed the key in to start it for warm up (had a ice storm the night before) and as it cranked and sounded like it was going to fire then I heard a pop and then all power was loss? No power for lights or to even use the power door lock? I assumed I popped a fuze so checked the 50a Battery fuse under the hood and all it good. What else could it be? My Jeep is a 01 4.0 auto. Has newer battery less then a year old and brand new starter as of a few weeks ago. Post connections seem tight and are not corroded. Is there some other fuse I didnt see for the main power? Could the ecm or power cables be bad? Please help as I have spent hours looking at the jeep and searched all the jeep forums for answers but cant find any.
